Standard Xcel Rebates — Heat Pumps & HVAC

Effective Nov. 16, 2025
Most Denver-area homes qualify for the “With Bonus” amount — about 3× the standard rebate. To qualify for the bonus, you must be an Xcel Energy natural gas customer using a natural gas furnace or boiler as your primary heat source. Homes heated by electric resistance (e.g., baseboard) or without Xcel gas service receive the standard rebate. Both figures are shown in the table.

Up to $8,000 — Heat Pump
Up to $1,750 — HPWH
Up to $1,600 — Insulation
Up to $4,000 — Elec. Panel
Up to $2,500 — Wiring

Power Ahead Colorado

~$1,500 · stacks with Xcel
Power Ahead Colorado stacks on top of your Xcel Energy rebate. It’s a separate cold-climate heat pump rebate of roughly $1,500 — with no income limit — offered in nine participating Front Range counties. Combined with standard Xcel rebates and Colorado’s state heat pump tax credit, total savings can reach roughly $9,000 or more on a qualifying mini-split or heat pump system.

We handle the Power Ahead application for you and credit eligible rebates upfront wherever the program allows. See the full Power Ahead Colorado guide →
