VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems are the gold standard for large commercial HVAC. They use a single outdoor unit to serve dozens of indoor zones, each with independent temperature control. VRV is Daikin’s proprietary term for the same technology. These systems recover heat between zones for maximum efficiency.
