Colorado Home Energy Rebate Program 4/24/26 Morning Update

Staying on top of Colorado's Home Energy Rebate Program is essential for Denver homeowners planning a mini split installation or heat pump upgrade. Here's the latest update from the Colorado Energy Office on HEAR funding availability, dashboard updates, and new incentive opportunities coming to the Denver metro area.

Region 1 Funding Availability (Denver & Front Range)

As of April 24, 2026, funding for the HEAR Single-Family Program Region 1 — the Front Range (Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, El Paso, Gilpin, Jefferson, Larimer, Teller, and Weld counties) is estimated to be fully reserved by early next week. Denver homeowners and contractors should submit project proposals in progress as soon as possible to allow review to proceed. Once funding for Region 1 is estimated to be fully reserved, any project proposals submitted will not be reviewed and will be denied. If funding becomes available again due to reservation cancellations, an update will be provided to registered contractors.

Region 2 Funding Availability

As of April 24, 2026, funding for the HEAR Single-Family Program Region 2 — All Other Counties continues to be available.

Dashboard Update

Please check the program dashboard for HEAR funding availability on the program website for the most up-to-date information. The dashboard is updated regularly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays by the end of the day.

Application Processing Update

Fully completed project proposals (i.e., Step A and Step B) that are currently under review will continue to be reviewed until all remaining funds are reserved. The level of demand for the program is higher than anticipated and may extend review times. As a reminder, you are not guaranteed a rebate until you receive a reservation notice. We appreciate your patience as we continue to process applications.

The Colorado Energy Office appreciates your continued efforts to deliver HEAR single-family rebates to income-qualified residents across Denver and the state of Colorado.

If you have questions, please attend the contractor's office hours today (April 24, 2026) at 10:00 AM MT or reach out to your Account Manager at CEOHomeEnergyRebates_Partners@clearesult.com.

Additional Heat Pump Incentive Opportunities in the Denver Region

Although HEAR single-family rebates are estimated to be fully reserved in Region 1 by early next week, the Denver Regional Council of Governments' (DRCOG) "Power Ahead Colorado" program will be launching their heat pump incentives early this summer. Denver-area contractors will need to be registered to qualify for the incentives program when it launches. Registration to the Colorado Contractor Hub is simple and provides $1,500 in reimbursements for trainings on heat pump technologies. All Power Ahead Colorado questions can be submitted through the Power Ahead Colorado website.
